Would you like to leave something to Globewise?
You can do so through your will. You may choose to include a bequest (a percentage of your estate) or a legacy (a specific amount or asset). In this way, together with Globewise, you contribute to a sustainable and fair future for children living in poverty.
Step 1: Map out your wishes
Make an overview of your assets and the people or organizations that are important to you. What would you like to leave behind, and to whom? Think carefully about what you would like to leave to Globewise and how you want to arrange this.
Step 2: Decide how you want to distribute your estate
Next, determine how you want to divide your assets. If you choose to include Globewise in your will, you have two options:
Option 1: Bequest as an Heir
If you choose a bequest as an heir, you appoint Globewise as heir to part of your estate. You determine the percentage of the inheritance that we will receive. This is the text you can use in your will:
“I appoint Stichting Globewise, established in Hilversum, as my heir.”
Option 2: Legacy
If you choose a legacy, you specify in your will that Globewise will receive a certain amount of money or a specific asset, such as a house, artwork, or stock portfolio. This is the text you can use in your will:
“I bequeath, free of duties and costs and payable within six months after my death, to Stichting Globewise, established in Hilversum, an amount in cash of X euros / the property located at [address], registered under cadastral details [details].”
Step 3: Decide who will execute your estate
The executor is responsible for handling your estate. You appoint this person in your will. This may be one of your heirs, but also a good friend or a notary.
Step 4: Make an appointment with the notary
Only a notary is authorized to draw up a will. During a consultation with the notary, your wishes are discussed and recorded in a draft will. You may also choose to prepare a will yourself via, for example, www.NuNotariaat.nl. Afterwards, make an appointment with your notary to officially sign the will.
Step 5: Sign your will
Once you are satisfied with the draft will, the final will is prepared. You sign this at the notary’s office.
